अश्रांत कौंधती अग्नि हृदय, वाणी गरजे सर्वत्र, निर्भय। थाह क्षुधा का ज्ञात नहीं, किसकी माया? ज्ञात नहीं। जिह्वा से ज्वाला बहती है, नथुनों में गंध ठहरती है, अधरों की प्यास न टाली जाए, मधु-रसा कितनी भी डाली जाए। नख निशिदिन बढ़ते जाते हैं, रद सहसा भींच ही आते हैं, केश उलझकर जटा हुए, हिंसक हो, यह बतलाते हैं। मीठी वायु जब बहती है, भौंहें, बाहें फड़कती हैं, रति-काम कर्ण पर चढ़ते हैं, उठ, यौवन भोगो! कहते हैं। प्रमदाओं के आलिंगन में क्यों रहती शीतलता मलयज सी? ललनाओं के चारु तन से क्यों अमृत पाते विषधर भी? क्रोध, काम, कटु कलुष कपटता क्यों पुरुष के हिस्से आ जाती है, पाप, ग्लानि, हिंसा का भय पुरुषत्व की मृदुता खा जाती है। क्षण एक नहीं धीरज खोता, चुन-चुन कर स्वयं में करुणा भरता, भुजबल से सृष्टि सींचता वह, वसुधा पुकारती जय! जय! जय! मानवता का झंकार है तू! स्त्रीत्व का शृंगार है तू! गरल, सुधा हो तुझसे होकर, सुन! भव का प्राणाधार है तू!
